Introduction

Is the RevoDrive 3 120GB's one gigabyte per second transfer speed not fast enough for you?  Keep reading, OCZ says this RevoDrive 3 X2 240GB will do 1.5GB/s!  The thought of a SSD 50% faster than the RevoDrive 3 120GB is a bit staggering, really.  I'm not sure what to make of it!

We'll be testing the OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 240GB PCIe SSD using my primary test system, which uses the following: Intel Core i7 2600k CPU, Gigabyte P67a-UD4-B3 motherboard, 2x2GB G.Skill RipjawsX 2133-7-10-7-1t RAM, MSI HD6970 GPU, Antec HCP850 PSU and an OCZ Vertex 3 MaxIOPS 240GB SSD used as an OS/boot drive for the empty tests.

Naturally we'll do some serious testing on this character!  First though, specs and features.
