Review: JouJye 620w Linkable Power Supply

Joujye Box

I got a couple power supplies from JouJye to review today! The first question you might as is "who's JouJye?", it was certainly my first question.

Odds are you haven't heard of them because they primarily make OEM and server parts, as it turns out they've actually been around quite a while!  Here's what their website has to say:

"Manufacture of high quality power supplies and external cases.

Your reliable component partner

Established in 1997, Jou Jye Computer quickly gained a very good reputation in the IT component industry for supplying excellent products and meeting even the highest customer demands.

Focusing its product offerings on power supply units for computer applications has proven to be a substantial strength.

That means
  • Jou Jye's sales organization truly offers what is expected from a component supplier today
  • excellent service and support
  • timely deliveries and most of all dedication to customers

The skilled international team is working successfully upon all markets worldwide, serving distribution, retailing, assembly and OEM selling channels through an extensive network.

Our own production facilities in south-east Asia are ISO 9001 and ISO 9002
certified, complying with the most rigid safety standards. These facilities
are undergoing a constant expansion process; the current capability is
300,000 power supplies per month. Models are offered in different shapes
and sizes and wattage capacities up to 650 Watt."

That's something like 10,000 power supplies per day, assuming a 7 day work week.  Impressive!

The power supply itself has an interesting feature as well, one that to the best of my knowledge is shared by no other PSUs on the market!

The feature?  The PSUs are built to be linked together, and come with a special cable to make it quick and easy to link them!  No more clunky and expensive adapter cables, just plug the supplied cable in and presto!  Perfectly linked power supplies.  I'll go into more detail later.

First, lets take a look at the box and the unit itself on the next page.
