Introduction

Up until a few months ago Google released a line of phones called Nexus. These phones offer up a pure android experience. If you are someone who is looking for a phone without clutter the Nexus line is just what you should be looking for.

Google does away with Sense UI,Touchwiz and whatever other nonsense phone makers throw on phones to "improve" the user experience.

These things are updated with the latest and greatest version of android the moment it comes out.

Well, Google has taken that success and released the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets.

The Nexus 7 being a 7"  tablet made by Asus featuring a Quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of Ram, a 1280x800 resolution, and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. Sadly, if you were hoping for a microSD card you will be disappointed since there is none available.

The Nexus 10 (we will not be reviewing) is made by Samsung and steps things up another notch. It features a 10" screen running at an impressive 2560x1600 resolution. Its got a Dual-core A15, 2GB of ram, a 5mp camera and 16GB or 32GB of storage

Since these devices are of the Nexus variety that means they run the most up to date version of android. And get the latest updates faster than any other devices out there. While most of the newest devices are shipping with android 4.1.x, the Nexus 7 ships with 4.2 Jellybean out of the box. While both versions are Jellybean, 4.2 have a few extra features fix speed fixes that 4.1 does not.

Over the course of this review we will be taking a look at the Nexus 7.  At $199 for the 16GB version it sure looks to take the popular Kindle Fire HD and other inexpensive tablets head on offering superior firepower for the money. Lets go ahead and take a look to see how that plays out.
