Synology DS412+ – Network Attached Storage (NAS) Review

Dear readers today we will take a look at Synology’s DiskStation 412+ NAS server. This is a four bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) server. For those of you who might be unfamiliar with what a NAS is; it is basically a huge hard drive attached to your home network used for back-ups, media streaming and personal clouds. But with some knowlege and some time you can do a lot more like set up your own blog, mail server, VPN server, and a whole lot more.

I mostly use my NAS for media steaming and as personal cloud server, but I am planning to set up some kind of back up scheme for all my devices.
