Computex 2016 – Antec Triple-Tower Elegant Elite Cooler and the Crown Premium Chassis

An exclusive event coverage of Antec Triple-Tower Elegant Elite Cooler and the Crown Premium Chassis at Computex 2016, direct from the Grand Hyatt, Taipei. We take a look at the Antec suite at this year’s Computex. Let’s see what they’ve got in store for us in 2016!

Antec

Antec, Inc. is an American-based maker of personal computer components and accessories. Antec’s principal products are computer cases and power supplies. Antec also offers PC cooling products and notebook accessories.

At their Grand Hyatt showroom, Antec unveiled an unnamed P-series ATX full-tower chassis. The case is characterized by a dual-compartment layout, with the top compartment featuring room for EATX and common ATX form-factors, with the bottom compartment featuring the PSU bay, a set of concealed drive bays, and a few hot-swap SATA drive bays that open up in the front. We used to just forget about what goes on behind the mounted motherboard, but with recent trends of case designs and mods with the back shown off with tidied cables and whatnots, both of the sides of this case is made with tempered glass.

With dimensions of 458mm x 220mm x538 mm (LxWxH), the case features four concealed 2.5-inch drive bays, and four hot-swap 3.5″ front-facing ones. The case has room for two 280mm x 140mm radiators, one in the front, and one along the top-panel. The rear exhaust too supports a single 140mm fan. The case serves up room for up to 40cm long graphics cards. It features an RGB LED system, with color adjustments on the case:

Also on display was Antec’s new Elegant Triple CPU Cooler, with their own innovative W-type aluminum fin-stacks. This cooler features three vertical fin-stacks with aluminium fins and has two 120mm fans in the gaps between the three fin-stacks in pull-push-pull-push configuration. The cooler can mount two more fans on the ends of the heatsink.

The heatsink’s dimensions are 165mm x 142mm x159 mm (LxWxH), and is available in three color options for now – dark nickel, red, and golden copper. The former two feature aluminium fins, the latter appears to feature exposed copper. The included fans spin between 800 to 1800RPM, pushing between 12.36 to 65.25 CFM of air, with a noise output of up to 25.9 dBA:

But what about water-cooling? Antec does not what to get left behind and showcased their new all-in-one liquid CPU coolers, named Mercury. What’s clever about the Mercury is that it feature a pump-block which has 3 LEDS, which actually are used to indicate the coolant temperature. The LEDs light up blue when temperatures are before 48°C, green when its between the range of 49-60°C, and finally red when the coolant reaches a temperature of 60°C or above:

And within the showroom there was still space for just a couple of case designs to show off Antec’s own products in action:
