Computex 2018: Antec

As soon as we stepped into Antec’s suite at the Grand Hyatt in Taipei, we were greeted by a stunning sight.

No, I wasn’t referring to the model……I was actually referring to Antec’s Project X Case.

The Project X Case (working title) features several polygonal aluminium and tempered glass shards held together by thumbscrews on a steel frame, with room inside for a high-end liquid-cooled build for maximum exposure. The case sits tilted at an angle that makes the front-panel accessible, and exposes more of its design elements.

This cyberpunk design it reminiscent of a manga-style futuristic hoverbike, and with your RGB lighting leaking though its gaps and through its glass panels, there’s definitely a electrified feel to it. Hoping to be released in Q4, the Project X Case is expected to retail around US$250.00.

Antec is hoping to be releasing memory very soon, and their first venture into the memory market will be the 5 Series TUF Gaming DDR4 to incorporate into the TUF Alliance and the 5 Series RGB Memory Kit. Both 8gb DDR4 memory kits feature vibrant RGB lighting, a tested speed of up to 3000 MHz, and Intel XMP 2.0 support.

Lastly we have the Antec Krypton. The Kypton is a full tower chassis with an emphasis on custom loop liquid cooling support. with hinged tempered glass side panels, an RGB strip at the front, support for 360mm radiators in the front and roof, in addition to a 120mm in the rear.

The case is massive inside allowing you mount a full sized graphics card horizontally or vertical, has 4×3.5″ bays and an extra 2xSSD bays. We were informed that the Antec Krypton will be available in Q4.
