  • We've just published a review on the Startech InfoSafe SATA enclosure designed for 2.5" hard drives ... model S252U2ERR. This is one of the first external enclosure that can accommodate two 2.5" inch hard drives, supporting various RAID modes, as well as USB and eSATA connectivity.

The enclosure comes with two removeable bays/trays and measures 25.5mm x 101mm x 153mm. It supports a range of RAID modes powered by a Silicon Image SiI5744 chip. RAID modes supported includes RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (mirror), JBOD (just a bunch of disks) and BIG (Concatenation).

  • Looks nice but that price is to high for an external, like the hot swap, I still use a 3.5 single ext for my backups. Nice review and to the point, pricey and improve the box.
