It’s been a little bit since we’ve seen Final Fantasy XV news. It’s been even longer since Final Fantasy fans have encountered Cerberus. Today’s new Final Fantasy XV universe trailer shows off not only gameplay footage involving the rarely seen three-headed dog, but also some footage from Kingsglaive, Brotherhood, and Justice Monsters Five. XV has been a long time coming, and Square Enix is celebrating its impending release in a big way.
The last trailer for Final Fantasy XV showed us the beautiful world of Eos and some of the environments we’ll be guiding Noctis and company through. The trailer gives us a chance to appreciate the world’s natural beauty before we get wrapped up in fighting for our lives. Today’s trailer doesn’t have quite the awe inspiring effect graphics-wise, but it does show just how much Square Enix is putting in to the XV universe.
While the main draw of the universe is Final Fantasy XV this September, watching both Kingsglaive and Brotherhood will give you a better understanding of the events happening in-game. Justice Monsters Five doesn’t quite have the impact of the movie and anime on the game’s story, but it’s a neat little distraction when you’re sitting around waiting on a date or a download. Final Fantasy XV will launch worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One September 30. Although they aren’t part of the initial worldwide launch, PC gamers may be able to experience XV later on.
