Introduction

When the Sandy Bridge hit the market the whole ball game was changed. Suddenly everything else on the market just felt slow in comparison. You got the same performance of a $1000 processor for $300. Those chips ran cool and overclocked very well.

Intel has taken the next step from Sandy Bridge and has brought out the Ivy Bridge processors. Gigabyte has also brought out some of their new boards on the Z77 platform. It is much like a refined version of the P67 and Z68 platforms. But it also gets the added bonus of running Ivy Bridge to its maximum potential.
