Performance at Stock Clock Speeds For the performance testing I used the following system:
I tested CPU and memory performance with the following benchmarks:
Stock settings were obtained by loading BIOS defaults and selecting the proper XMP profile for my ram. When comparing these result to other reviews please note that ASRock uses the 2600k's turbo profiles correctly, some motherboards do not do so in an effort to get better "stock" scores. That is not stock, that is overclocked. This is genuinely stock.
WPrime v1.55
Unlike some boards the ASRock Z77 Professional's BCLK is a bit over 100.0, so the stock results are better than some boards that underclock a bit at stock.
3DMark Vantage CPU Test
24k at stock clocks is pretty glorious for a quad core.
Cinebench 11.5 CPU Test
Not far short of a 12 core cpu! Gotta love that.
Maxxmem Memory Test
The SandyBridge does a mighty good job of running memory, the combination of a 2600k and the Z77 Professional is quite good. The fun part is overclocking though, really. That's next! |
