Bold claims and bold figures too ..
"Google and Asustek Computer's co-branded second-generation Nexus 7 tablet is expected to enjoy shipments of one million units in May and eight million units in 2013, according to sources from the upstream supply chain. With the tablet's strong contribution, Asustek's tablet shipments will have a chance to reach its goal of 12 million units for 2013. The tablet's manufacturer Quanta Computer will also see its shipments rise for the year.

Google is set to host its Google I/O developer forum from May 15-17 in San Francisco, the US. The second-generation Nexus 7 as well as Google Glass are both expected to be showcased at the event. The new Nexus 7 features a 7-inch display and a processor from Qualcomm, supporting a resolution higher than that of the first-generation model and 3G connectivity, priced at US$149-199. The machine is expected to be available in June or July."

Botnets rule the world ... over 70% people don't realise that their computer have become a botnet. See, if people stop downloading porn and illegal copyrighted material ... then your computer would become a "botnet" itself.
"Wordpress has been attacked by a botnet of "tens of thousands" of individual computers since last week, according to server hosters Cloudflare and Hostgator. The botnet targets Wordpress users with the username "admin", trying thousands of possible passwords.

The attack began a week after Wordpress beefed up its security with an optional two-step authentication log-in option. The site currently powers 64m websites read by 371m people each month.
According to survey website W3Techs, around 17% of the world's websites are powered by Wordpress. "Here's what I would recommend: If you still use 'admin' as a username on your blog, change it, use a strong password," wrote Wordpress founder Matt Mullenweg on his blog."

First it was short messages (tweets), then photos, then short video clips and now it seems twitter has taken the plunge and added music service to their catalogue. Twitter now offers the FULL package!
"Micro-blogging site Twitter is rumoured to be launching a new music service after buying the music discovery site We Are Hunted. We Are Hunted confirmed the deal, adding "there's no question that Twitter and music go well together" - and said it was shutting down.
The hashtag #music is also featured on the newly-launched music.twitter.com. Reports suggest the new service will offer personalised recommendations on music through its own dedicated app.

US celebrity host Ryan Seacrest confirmed the existence of Twitter's new app on Thursday via a tweet: "playing with @twitter's new music app (yes it's real!)... there's a serious dance party happening at idol right now".
The music app could be announced as soon as Friday. The We Are Hunted acquisition actually happened in 2012, according to reports, suggesting that the music service has long been in the works."

Who would have though that the 7-inch is the perfect size for tablets. And it seems that Microsoft is joing the bandwagon to capture this market.
"Microsoft Corp is developing a new lineup of Surface tablets, including a 7-inch version expected to go into mass production later this year, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the company's plans.

Microsoft executives felt they needed to keep pace with the growing popularity of smaller tablets like Google Inc's 7-inch Nexus and the 7.9-inch iPad Mini introduced by Apple Inc last October, one person told the paper. Microsoft declined to comment to the Wall Street Journal. The company could not immediately be reached for comment by Reuters outside of regular U.S. business hours."
