Three months ahead of schedule, Xiaomi has officially released the successor to their MIUI 7 OS, the MIUI 8, and its packed full of new features.
First up you will notice the new visuals of MIUI 8, bringing with it a more vibrant and youthful feel. The color changes automatically every month, and depending on what the local weather is like. Not content with just these 2 automatic color changes, MIUI 8 also changes its colors depending on its surrounding sounds.
Xiaomi’s designers has taken into consideration of smartphone users reading a lot on their phones, so they have developed a new font for the MIUI 8 that will not hurt your eyes from prolonged looking at the screen. Called the Mi Lanting, the company says that they have developed a new concept called “centre of gravity of fonts” to design the perfect fonts of the new OS.
