To expand its home projectors lineup, Sony has announced three new 4K projectors that are HDR and HDR10 compatible, and are fitted with Sony’s proprietary SXRD panel in a drive for class-leading images. Unfortunately, prices for these projectors are very high, starting at $7,999 with up to $25,000 for the top model.
Sony VPL-VW260ES is the most affordable model and features 1,500 lumens of brightness, 2.06 zoom and wide lens shift.
The VPL-VW360ES has the same specifications as the VW260ES, but with 200,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
The top model is VPL-VW760ES, which provides “extraordinary cinematic detail, colour and contrast” thanks to its advanced ultra-pure laser light source. It offers 2,000 lumens of brightness and will go on sale by the end of the year.
