Lenovo’s Upcoming Retro ThinkPad To Feature A Discrete NVIDIA GPU

Lenovo has been working on a new ThinkPad laptop to celebrate the brand’s 25th birthday. The first ThinkPad laptop was announced back in October 1992 and Lenovo will announce a Retro ThinkPad model sometime next month.

Lenovo did not release many details about this new ThinkPad, except it would be a device with the latest technology, but elements of older ThinkPad-designs.

Thanks to a Redditor happinessmachine, we have learned more about the upcoming ThinkPad. Lenovo support page suggests that at least some models will have NVIDIA GeForce 940MX GPU, which is a bit disappointing as NVIDIA is now offering GeForce GTX 1050 and MX150 options. The laptop will also feature Intel HD 510/520/610/620 graphics options, suggesting it’ll be available with 7th-gen Intel Core Kaby Lake processor.
