Apple iMac Pro Could Feature A10 Fusion Co-Processor

Now that’s interesting … it reminds of the old Intel SX and DX days 😉

At the Final Cut Pro X Creative Summit, which took place in Cupertino three weeks ago, Apple showed off the incoming iMac Pro ahead of its launch in December. What we have learned now is that although the PC has impressive processor, it might even pack additional processor.

Rumours about Apple using custom ARM chips for more features inside Macs are true and the iMac Pro will be using a cut-down version of the iPhone 7’s A10 Fusion chip as a co-processor. Its functionality isn’t known for sure, but most likely it will handle macOS’ boot and security processes, and be in charge of Siri.
