ASUS ROG STRIX RX Vega 56 O8G GAMING Reviewed by HardOCP

Our good friends over at HardOCP have posted a review of the ASUS ROG STRIX RX Vega 56 O8G GAMING graphics card. Again, they really liked it … giving it their Gold Award. Head over there to check it out.

We have our first custom retail AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 GPU video card on the test bench in the form of the ASUS ROG STRIX RX Vega 56 O8G GAMING video card. ASUS has created a robust ROG STRIX version of RX Vega 56 with a factory overclock and overclocking ability. Let’s see what it can do.

This one is actually fun to overclock, you can experiment with undervolting, or overvolting, and honing in the right overclocks for an improved gaming experience. When you overclock, you will get over GeForce GTX 1070 Ti performance. Even if you don’t overclock you will be near or at GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FE performance with this video card. That means 1440p gameplay with “High” to “Ultra” game settings. Considering this video card is the cheaper version, that’s a very excellent compromise. Of course Newegg selling it for $450 over MSRP probably puts a nail in its coffin for just about any gamer.
