It sure does look very appealing ... it comes with a high-res touchscreen, Intel processor, 4G LTE connectivity and of course Chrome OS.
"Google has unveiled its first touchscreen-enabled laptop. The Chromebook Pixel runs Google's Chrome operating system and has been "largely built" by the web giant. The laptop has Intel's Ivy Bridge processors, fast 4G LTE connectivity and a high-resolution screen aimed at challenging Apple's Retina Display.
Analysts say the move represents a fresh bid to build market share for Chromebooks against machines running Microsoft and Apple operating systems. Unlike PCs that use installed software such as Microsoft Word, Chrome OS computers run their applications through the firm's web browser and store their files in the cloud. The internet giant told the BBC the device was "largely built by Google, with components that are manufactured globally".

The laptop's 12.85in (32.64cm) display's resolution is similar to the so-called Retina Display of Apple's MacBook range, aimed to have pixel density high enough for the human eye not to notice pixelation when looking at the screen at a typical viewing distance.
"This Chromebook has the highest pixel density (239 pixels per inch) of any laptop screen on the market today," said the company. "Packed with 4.3 million pixels, the display offers sharp text, vivid colours and extra-wide viewing angles."

The Samsung Series 7 Chronos are starting to appear in stores across the US. Prices start around $1,199. For that you get a 2.4GHz Intel Core i7 3635QM CPU with an AMD Radeon HD 8870M GPU and comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen. Windows 8 of course.

"After whetting our appetite at CES, Samsung's updated Series 7 Chronos is slowly squeaking its way into US retailers. Spotted at Best Buy for $1,200, this 21mm dynamo packs a 2.4GHz Intel Core i7 3635QM CPU and an AMD Radeon HD 8870M GPU along with a 15.6-inch touchscreen. While this lean, mean, Windows 8 machine's streamlined design and spec sheet are impressive, such adornment comes at a price. Absent from the Chronos' fine engineering is room for an optical drive, so DVD and Blu-ray enthusiasts be warned."

That's good to hear, but expect your wallet to take a serious beating! The Microsoft Surface Pro 128GB version will cost you an uncool $999 USD. Why so darn expensive!

"Microsoft has been having troubles keeping the 128GB model Surface Pro tablet on virtual and actual store shelves, but it looks like the drought, as promised, is ending. The tablet's now up for pre-order on the Microsoft Store website with an estimated March 1st ship date. Best Buy will also be receiving shipments of the slate soon and is also willing to take your money now to reserve one. Alas, our friends north of the border in Canada are still without a 128GB Surface purchase option, but at least the folks at the Surface Blog have promised to provide more info on the matter sometime soon."

Apple decides to cut prices on all Macbook Pros with Retina display. I spoke to an Apple insider who works as a "Genius" and he comfirms it's true. Expect around $200 cheaper. Anyway ... Macs ain't for me. I'm a PC guy! and if you're into modding check out our special new feature ... Mod-my-Box™

"The words "Apple" and "price cut" are seldom found together in the same sentence. They're cohabiting nicely today, though, because Apple has cut the prices of three of its laptops.
As of this morning, the 13" MacBook Pro with Retina display no longer starts at $1,699. The base model is now priced at $1,499, instead, with the same hardware configuration as before: a 13" 2560x1600 IPS screen, a 2.5GHz Core i5 dual-core processor (with 3.1GHz a peak Turbo speed), Intel HD Graphics 4000, 8GB of DDR3-1600 memory, 128GB of solid-state storage, and a seven-hour battery.
Paying up the old $1,699 asking price now gets you a slightly quicker Core i5 CPU (with 2.6GHz base and 3.2GHz Turbo speeds) and a 256GB solid-state drive. That config used to cost $1,999 without the quicker processor."

Toshiba have always made great laptops, so it's only natural for them to come up with some decent tablets too. The REGZA AT501 looks nice and sleek ... and offers some pretty decent specs, but it'll cost you $425!

"We noticed that you'd thrown in a 10.1-inch, 1,280 x 800 IPS display alongside a 1.3GHz Tegra 3 system and 1GB of RAM, which is very nice. We also like the feature that lets it act as a companion to compatible REGZA TVs. It was a bit sad, however, to see that it only came with a 3-megapixel rear facing camera. On the upside, you did manage to install Android 4.1, Splashtop and a battery that's rated for 10 hours -- which is probably why it weighs 625 grams. Unfortunately, you priced it at 40,000 yen ($425)"

We've just published a review on Google's Nexus 7 16GB version made by Asus. It's powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and comes with Android 4.2 OS (Jelly Bean). It offers a high resolution 1280x800 HD display with a scratch-resistant Corning glass. Sounds tasty ... let's take a closer look.

"If you are looking for a budget tablet look no further. When it comes to bang for the buck there simply is no competition, the Nexus 7 leaves all other tablets in the dust and shows how good a device can be when Google is in charge of development."
