Nvidia is good for PC graphics card ... but notebook users prefer AMD graphics? Does that make sense? I have to admit AMD (Radeon) graphics does offer mighty impressive video playback, in terms of smoothness and quality. 3D performance isn't all that bad either.
"Nvidia, in the first quarter of 2011, achieved a share of 59.4% in the desktop GPU market with AMD scored a share of 40.6%, according to sources from graphics card players citing figures from Mercury Research; however, Nvidia's market share performance of 42% in the notebook GPU market, dragged down the company's overall performance to only 51%, winning slightly by 2pp against AMD."
