Antec P8 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

The Exterior

I have always belong to those types of people that have their computer placed on the floor as I don’t think it looks particularly good to have it placed next to my monitor. However, the P8 is so tastefully designed that if there’s any chassi that deserves a place on the table it’s the P8.

The front consists of a plain black cover with 3 cutouts on the left side to allow fresh air to reach the front mounted fans behind it. On the left you also find the power buttons as well as the USB and aux connectors. When you turn on your computer there is also a small Antec logo in the bottom right corner that lights up, which is a very nice touch.

Fe

On the top you’ll find a dust filter that’s locked into place using magnets, which makes it very easy to remove and clean when needed.

The best part about the exterior however, is the left side panel which consists of an edge-to-edge panel of hardened glass. This panel is great for those of us who takes great pride in turning our computers into minimalistic works of art as it allows you to show it off without any part of the inside to be concealed.

Interior

On the inside you’ll find the usual included case fans that noone wants to use since they make to much noise, or at least that what you think. Because you see, the 3 fans that come included with the chassi is actually quite good. I’m not saying they can compete with fans from say Noctua, but they certainly work well enough to keep around if you don’t feel like spending extra money on new fans right away.

Another thing you’ll notice is the tunnel that’s been cut out to make it easier for you to get that competition grade cable management look. This was probably one of my favorite features since cable management can be a real pain and something that can make all the difference when it comes to the overall look of your build. It’s such an easy feature but still something a lot of manufacturers neglect

When it comes to turning this great looking case into a working computer you can be sure to know that it won’t be a problem at all. Even though this is a midi case there is plenty of room for both hard drive, fans and a custom water cooling system. You have a full PSU cover that tastefully hides your PSU, cables and perhaps even your water pump (if you don’t want it to show).

The back side of the case has plenty of room and fastening points to let you organize your cables any way you want it.
