Thermaltake View 28 RGB Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Installation

Although the View 28 is a standard mid-tower chassis, I was pretty surprised to see all my components fitted in nicely (with room to manoeuvre). As you can see from the pictures below, our full-size Asus Maximus IX Hero (Z270) motherboard fitted perfectly, and so did the extremely large Pacific RL360 Plus radiator, as well as the mighty tall Pacific PR22-D5 Plus Res+Pump combo.

No issues with installing the Thermaltake SmartPro 850W power supply. I also installed a dummy graphics card to see the how the GPU riser works. Again, no issues here. All the components fitted nicely, with room to spare.

The Finished Item

I say finished, but really it’s only 80% complete. But the bulk of the installation is more or less done. All I need to do is mount the CPU water block and add the extra tubing for loop. I’m thinking of adding both hard and soft tubing.

With most of the components installed, we placed the gull-wing side panel to see what it would look like. Not bad, not bad at all …
