CRYORIG H7 Quad Lumi RGB CPU Cooler Review

Performance

The H7 Quad Lumi has been tested on the Intel Kaby Lake platform which contains i7-7700K processor set to 1.2V what let it to run up to about 4.8GHz and Supermicro Z270 C7Z270-CG motherboard. For all tests has been used Windows 10 Pro x64.

There are three stages. Idle is no special load, only typical services in background. Mixed tests are based on PCMark 8 so popular applications and less demanding games. Full load is CPU/FPU stability test in AIDA64.

CRYORIG H7 Quad Lumi offers quite good performance considering its size. At the same time is not generating much noise, even when CPU is under full load. It’s pretty good balance for above average gaming PC. With some luck to CPU it’s possible to keep 4.7-4.8GHz without overheating what is more than enough for even the most demanding games. Considering CPU TDP, you can count to overclock eight-core AMD Ryzen without bigger issues too.

Of course there are better coolers. CRYORIG itself has couple of models which are offering better performance as you see above. However, most of them take much more space, cost more or for higher performance need faster fans what makes them louder. Even though the H7 Quad Lumi isn’t the best in performance then offers good balance between size and noise and performance what should still satisfy most users. Additionally lighting is an interesting option which isn’t so popular in air cooling solutions.
