Closer Look

Besides the old-style look of it, you can quite clearly see three ridges on each of the seven fins.  The reason for this is simple: efficiency.  The design of each fin makes them all more aerodynamic and able to push as much air through as possible.  But does it work?  Well we already know how well one fan performs on stock and overclocked settings, so let’s see how two of them fare:

These are using the same voltage and clock settings as before, just with the extra fans:

Well…maybe not quite the leap we hoped for, but let’s see how much we can get at 4.5ghz:

Now that’s more like it.  As you can see, once we pump a little more juice, the second fan starts to proof its worth.
