Thermaltake Pacific W4 RGB CPU Water Block Review

Installation

Just like its predecessor, installing the Thermaltake Pacific W4 RGB CPU water block was surprisingly easy. Just follow the instructional leaflet and you’ll be fine. I pre-mounted the compression fittings before I placed the waterblock over our Core i7-6800K processor.

Next, we added some hard tubes and carefully put all the other water cooling components in place. This included the Zotac Geforce GTX 1070 AMP Extreme mounted with a Bitspower RGB GPU water block. Now we’re ready to fill the system with coolant.

Coolant added to the loop

We used Thermaltake’s C1000 orange coolant which goes well with our Project Core Arancio’s theme. To get the LEDs working, we connected the cables to the RGB controller which is powered by a 4-pin molex.

The RGB controller allows you to control the brightness and various lightning modes, including fixed colors or color-cycle mode. With the Thermaltake Pacific W4 RGB CPU water block looking good … the only thing to do now, is to get some temperature readings.
