Tested memory is available as a single modules or as a dual or quad channel kits. We’ve received four separated modules but it’s only package type that makes the difference. Quad channel kit would have exactly the same memory modules. The same product numbers are based on the same memory IC and have exactly the same SPD/XMP profiles so we don’t have to worry about compatibility.

In case if you are interested, product number of quad channel kit is BLE4K16G4D30AEEA while single modules are marked as BLE16G4D30AEEA.

Available software has clearly problems to read memory profiles or anything else. Only CPU-Z is showing basic info about memory kit and not even all is correct.

Also Ballistix M.O.D. Utility isn’t ready for Intel X299 motherboards. However thermal sensors built-in the Ballistix memory are working fine what we can check using third-party software like HWiNFO64.

Below you can see how used ASUS X299 TUF Mark 2 motherboard sees memory profiles.

Ballistix memory kits are not marked for what platform they’re designed as we see on competitive products. They’re simply compatible with available standards and should work on every motherboard. Of course maximum frequency will be limited to the platform’s capability.

Why I say this, is because Ballistix Elite wasn’t designed for X299 platform and barely any memory kit on the market was designed for this chipset. However as we see, our memory kit is fully stable and will be tested on the ASUS X299 TUF Mark 2 motherboard with the latest ( and the only one so far ) 0402 BIOS .

Above screenshot is showing stability at XMP settings so DDR4-3000 15-16-16 1.35V. Test took over six hours at 95% memory coverage. I think it’s enough to say that all works as declared.

I’m already showing results while we still haven’t seen how Ballistix Elite memory kit looks like. I guess some of you already know this memory design as it’s quite unique and is on the market for a while.
