GEIL Super Luce DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit Review

BIOS Settings

Using the BIOS on the Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming motherboard, we enable XMP profiles. All other settings were untouched on AUTO. By selecting this, the modules will run at the rated speed of DDR4-3000 (3000Mhz – 2 x 1500Mhz). Memory timings will be AUTO at 15-17-17-35 @ 1.35v.

 

 

Test Bench

For our tests, we used our MakeMeCooler Doraemon PC build which consist of a Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming motherboard,Along with and Intel Core i5 – 7600K (Kaby Lake) and a Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 AMP Extreme Edition. 

* ALL tests are conducted at specified default speeds and settings.

Aida64 Memory Information

These GEIL Super Luce DDR4-3000 modules are designed for “Hardcore Gaming” and certified “enthusiast”. They run at the specified speed of DDR4-3000 (1500MHz) at 1.35v.

 

Aida64 DRAM Timings

Memory timings are running as advertised at 15-17-17-35 with XMP profiles. We selected XMP in the BIOS and left the CPU speed untouched at 3.8GHz
