GEIL Super Luce RGB DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit Review

Conclusion and Verdict

I love it when things work as they should. I’m talking about XMP profiles. These modules are XMP ready and are specified to run at DDR4-3000 with memory timings of CL16-18-18-36. So with a suitable motherboard, all you have to do is select XMP in the BIOS and that’s it. There’s no need for messing about with memory settings any more.

Using our newest test rig which is comprised of an Intel Core i7-8700K and the EVGA Z370 Micro motherboard, I was able to get some good results from our memory benchmarks. So no complaints here.

Of course, the main selling point of these modules is the RGB feature.  Not only are they fully RGB, but also compatible with Asus’s Aura Sync. So if you’ve got an Asus motherboard with Aura Sync, then these memory modules will look super SWEET inside your system.

Even without an Aura Sync motherboard, these memory modules will offer a cycling effect in full RGB colours.

As for aesthetics, the modules come with a nice black heatspreader that looks very futuristic, which I really like. The LED strip has a nice design and are discretely located at the top of each module.

Currently, there are loads of RGB memory modules on the market right now. Manufacturers such as G.Skill, Adata, Corsair, Crucial (Ballistix) are all doing them. So which ones do I recommend? The choice is really up to you. If the spec and price is right, and they look good … then just go for them!
