SteelSeries Rival 310 Gaming Mouse Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Well there we have it! The new Rival 310 from SteelSeries. I found that the mouse felt smooth and I felt the difference in the tracking. Lets put the on all the mice! I truly believe we will see this on all the future mice from SteelSeries. The mouse had a good feel but I am a fan of the flatter and shorter back. I noticed that when I rested my palm on the table I had to lift my hand off the table to reach the front of the clickers. Not a con, but not my cup of coffee on how the mouse fits in my palm. Definitely excited to see where this new TrueMove3 sensor goes from here!

Rival 310

SteelSeries, the fastest growing major PC gaming headset brand in the US*, today sets a new standard in gaming mouse sensor technology with the launch of the SteelSeries TrueMove3 optical sensor, engineered in partnership with PixArt, becoming the first true 1-to-1 sensor. SteelSeries releases the TrueMove3 sensor exclusively in the newly designed Sensei 310 and Rival 310 gaming mice.

The SteelSeries Rival 310 can be found at Amazon and other various e-tailers for $59.99 USD.

Pros:

  • TrueMove3 sensor
  • Split-Trigger Buttons
  • Fiber-reinforced Plastics
  • Silicone Side Grips
  • Tracking Movement has very smooth feel
  • RGB
  • SteelSeries Engine

Cons:

  • Design may not fit every hand size (depending on your claw style) if you like to rest you hand on the table, then the mouse will feel like its on the larger size and awkward finger positioning on clickers. Like I said earlier this con may not effect all users depending on your grip so just keep that in mind!

Final thoughts:

The Rival 310 has set the bar high and have taken a leap where no one else has journeyed (once again!). The design is pretty tame, but the features are above and beyond. I look forward to seeing what SteelSeries has up there sleeves for the TrueMove3 sensor. I could see and feel the difference in the tracking. Top notch company, with quality products!
