ASRock Fatal1ty X299 Professional Gaming i9 Motherboard Review

Performance: Part 2

It’s a time to show a couple of storage results like these in ATTO Disk Benchmark.

SATA performance has been tested using HyperX Savage 240GB SSD which is based on Phison controller. Performance is a bit lower than that on some other ASRock X299 motherboards but not much, by about 1MB/s. I don’t think anyone would notice the difference during daily work.

The USB performance has been tested on the Lexar DD512 Professional USB 3.0 drive. Results are close to what we could see on pretty much every motherboard based on the X299 chipset. Only the Z370 motherboards are performing better.

Patriot Hellfire 240GB NVMe SSD has been used to check performance in PCMark 8 storage benchmark. What is not a surprise, results are high.

I fell like I’m repeating myself but really, 3DMark results are also about as high as we could see on other ASRock X299 motherboards. It’s nice to see that all motherboards, regardless of price, keep the same high level of performance.

VRMark benchmark is one more test which passed without any issues. I guess it’s the most interesting test as those who decide on the HETD platform have on their minds or graphics and rendering work or really demanding games.

Those who never have enough can try their luck in overclocking where the X299 Professional i9 XE is great.
