ASRock Z370 Killer SLI/ac Motherboard Review

The BIOS

The BIOS for the ASRock Z370 Killer SLI/ac is colored blue this time. I’m use to the original red colored interface LOL!

I do like the ASRock BIOS … it’s simple and easy to navigate. All the usual options are there for tweaking and fine tuning your system. 

There’s a CPU EZ OC option for beginners. This allows you take the processor to a safe overclock limit (photo 1).

 

Installation

No issues with installation. But, the area around the processor socket and the memory DIMM slots are quite tight. 

The lack of large heatsinks for the mosfets/VRMs can be seen as both a good thing and a bad thing. The good being less clutter, and more space for air flow when motherboard is inside the chassis. While the bad … could mean limited capacity for overclocking due to heat and stability issues. We shall see in our overclocking tests …
