Asus ROG Rampage VI Extreme (X299) Motherboard Review

Installation

With just a feature packed motherboard, space is a premium. So as you can see from the photos below, there’s not a lot of space around the processor area.

A large full size ATX chassis is highly recommended when using this motherboard. You’ll need a lot of room for the extra cooling and air-flow.

Here, we have the LiveDash OLED display in action. It replaces the traditional onboard diagnostic LEDs with graphical display showing the motherboard status and temperature of the components.

The BIOS

The ROG UEFI BIOS has tons of options for tweaking your motherboard until your heart’s content. There’s plenty of options for overclocking your CPU and memory, including adjustments for multipliers, voltage increases and DDR4 memory tweaking.

The EZ-Mode is perfect for beginners and users who want a simple one-click option for overclocking the system to give you that extra performance boost.
