Enermax Platimax 1350w PSU Review

Photos Part Three: The Cables

First up, the one cable (other than the mains AC cable, anyway) that can be described as “crucial”. This has both the ATX24P (no 20+4 here, if your motherboard wants a 20P cable it’s time for a new board) and an 8P CPU power plug, no 4+4P here either, if your motherboard has a 4P CPU plug I seriously doubt you need a 1350w PSU!

CPU power cable, along with a model airplane that one of my kids very nicely (but very firmly!) requested I include. The CPU power cable has one 8P and one 4P connector, so even if your motherboard wants two 8P and one 4P connector, you’re set. This, I expect, is part of the server stuff mentioned on the box.

Four PCIe power cables, each with two 6+2P connectors.

SATA cables, three of ’em, each with four plugs.

Two SATA and two Molex on this cable. This one cable may suffice for a lot of builds.

Four Molex and one FDD power plug here.

Note that every included cable can be plugged in at the same time, if you want to do a ton of stuff all at once. Actually if you count it all up you can plug everything in and still have one red PCIe/CPU cable port and one black accessory cable port empty. That gives you some wiggle room with regards to what rails you use.
