That’s right! This PSU is ready for the future! And Gaming! And Lot 6 ErP! And C6 & Hybrid! (Will it run a Prius?) And DXXI! (DX11?) And 24/7@50°C! (de-rated, anyway) And EMC Ready! That’s right, according to the features list thing thing is set up to protect your computer against radiation interference. They don’t specify whether they’re talking about EMI type radiation on the input power, or alpha/beta/gamma/UV type radiation in the air. I’m assuming the former, but who knows! This PSU might be able to handle a Goldeneye type situation!

It says it has a 139mm fan inside too, because putting a 140mm fan inside a PSU is patented. My bet is that the fan says 140mm on it.

What the Dynamic Hybrid Transformer thing is I have no idea, we’ll see how it performs.

Also on the product page we have:

24/7 @ 50°C ready! Non-stop industrial-class performance at 50°C ambient.

In this slide Enermax appears to show that this unit can do 110% output power at temps up to ~40°c, and ~88% output power at 50°c. I’m not sure if that was the goal or not. I seriously doubt I’ll be able to get it over 40°c or so in TEUW, but we’ll see. I’ll be testing at ~100% regardless.

SafeGuard
Industry-leading multiple protection circuitry of OCP, OVP, DC UVP, OPP, OTP, SCP & SIP.

I still don’t know what SIP stands for.

Twister Bearing Fan
alt
A
Minimal contact area for effective noise reduction
B
Rotor with integrated magnet for frictionless and smooth motion
C
Self-lubricating bearing material abrasion protection for longer lifetime

I’m not a fan person, the diagram looks decently snazzy though. We’ll see (hear…) how it performs in real life.

HeatGuard
After shutdown, HeatGuard will keep PSU fan running for 30-60 seconds to dissipate the remaining system heat and prolong lifetime.

alt

This I like. I doubt the PSU really needs it, but it’s a cool feature. It works (though not for the full 30-60 seconds) even with the PSU is unplugged at shutdown, which is pretty impressive.

Model Number: EPM600AWT

Combined 100W 600W(50A) 6W 12.5W
Total Power 600W
Peak Power 660W

Typically Enermax rates peak power for one minute. I strongly recommend ignoring the peak power number all together and just going with the Total Power number. 100w for the combined 5v and 3.3v seems a bit light, but not that much more so than most units these days. It won’t be an issue.

Nowhere is cooking waffles mentioned, I guess I’m out of luck on that one.
