So far, this sounds excellent. 50°C, Japanese capacitors, 80+ Gold, switchable fan, 7 year warranty, excellent! The single 12 V rail isn’t a selling point in my opinion, I’d rather see at least two on a unit in this size range. It’s not as large an issue as it is with a larger unit though.

Here we have a few interesting things, the first of which are the ripple and regulation numbers. The ATX spec requires 5% regulation on the three primary rails, PC Power and Cooling’s 3% is a solid improvement over that, but not necessarily epic. I expect that this PSU will do rather better than that. The 1% ripple number is the ATX spec (except for 3.3 V, which is allowed ~1.5%), I’d prefer to see 0.5% or less personally. The 1% mark may be difficult to hit on the 3.3 V rail, DC-DC designs often have a rough time of it.

Cable wise we have a good selection, I very much hope that the two CPU power cables are not both hard wired.

The MTBF of 100,000 hours (that’s >11 years) is perhaps a bit ambitious, but who knows. With a seven year warranty PC Power and Cooling is backing it up well.

Next, pictures!
