TtEsports SHOCK PRO RGB Review

Performance

Design

The first thing I noticed when I was testing this headset was that the “auto adjusting” headband actually did a magnificent job at delivering a comfortable, but still firm, fit. I can’t see why you won’t find this feature on pretty much every premium headset because it’s such a simple design that still works so great.

If we take our focus away from the headband and move on to the cups, you find a pair of decent looking  matte black cups with controls and mic on the left side. The mic is retractable so it won’t be in the way when you are not using it, and even though most parts are plastic everything feels rigid. The controls are simple, there is a switch to turn the mic on/off a button to change the lighting and a wheel to adjust volume.

Initial setup

Unlike the Razer Kraken, this headset it pure plug and play. You connect the USB (for RGB fans) and the 3.5mm AUX cables and you’re good to go!

Less hassle = more time to play!

Sound

The sound quality are not what you would expect from a headset this cheap, because it’s actually quite good! Sure, it lacks the highs and lows of the Razer Kraken, but then again, this headset comes at a fraction of the price.

It won’t take your gaming experince to “the next level” but it will give you a nice allround experience regardless of what games you like.

I found it was best suited to FPS games, thanks to it being a stereo headset, since it could produce pretty accurate positional audio for CS:GO and PUBG.

Microphone

The microphone is sadly not as good as the rest of the headset and my voice sounded very “metallic” and my friends told me that it was pretty often that they had trouble hearing what I called out.

Comfort

The comfort of this headset is actually quite good. I did feel a bit of pressure on my glasses after a few hours but overall it was a good fit.

The auto adjustable headband was great and I never had to worry that my setting would have changed when I put the headphones down or put them around my neck.
