The main difference between standard a USB thumb drive and Kingston miniDuo is a micro USB connector and USB On-The-Go functionality which let us store additional files, make backups or just work as additional storage for our mobile device.

Below has been attached list of USB OTG compatible devices. This list will for sure grow in time so we can expect that new devices will also support OTG.

A Closer Look

We are accustomed to see memory products in a blister package. The Kingston DT microDuo has been packed this way which is a good choice as we can see the product and general description while it is protected very well during the time of transport.

On the box we can see information about the offered five year warranty. Kingston is one of not many manufacturers who are providing such a warranty for their flash memory products. In this case it is worth it to mention that the price of DT microDuo 16GB is pretty low.

Inside the package we find the flash stick. It is really small and light in weight so it will not be any issue to carry it everywhere.

Rotating the cap reveals a micro USB connector. The regular USB connector has no additional protection but it does not really need it.

In general, the Kingston DT microDuo looks pretty simple but it is quite solid and it has everything it needs.

Since we know the specification of the DT microDuo then let us move on to the next page and check how it performs.
