Patriot Memory Ignite 240GB SATA3 SSD Review

Verdict and Conclusion

The performance of the Patriot Ignite 240GB SSD is very good indeed. With the average read speed of around 560 MB/sec and write speed of up to 514.7 MB/sec. This is all thanks to the super fast Phison S10 Series SSD controller, which pairs extremely well with the qualified MLC NAND flash that the Ignite uses. The combination gives you the best performance, value and reliability.

The actual SSD is only 7mm thick, which is thinner than most 2.5″ drives on the market. This low profile form factor allows you the flexibility to mount these SSDs in your ultrabook, laptop or any part of your chassis.

Patriot has marketed their range of SSDs really well. The Ignite’s super fast performance is perfect for any enthusiast or high-end user. While the Pyro and Blast series are mostly for mainstream users, and finally the Blaze series for users who are after value and performance with a budget in mind.

Costing around USD $90.00, the Patriot Ignite 240GB SSD is a pretty good bargain. Remember, this SSD is only 7mm thick and is suitable for your PC builds, ultrabooks or laptops. Kingston makes a SSD of similar dimensions, but will cost you USD $130. Buy now at Amazon – https://goo.gl/YX2fIV
