The in-game advertising unit Massive is to be shutdown later this month according to Mediaweek. The unit has been up for unsuccessful acquisition for months. It has been a wild week for Microsoft; this coming on the heels of announcing the closure of Live Labs.
Microsoft acquired Massive back in 2006 for an undisclosed sum, though an estimate by the Wall Street Journal had the deal costing Microsoft somewhere between $200 to $400 million
