The US government has decided to stomp all over various civil rights here in the USA and start seizing domain names of web sites devoted to piracy and streaming and such. Most of the owners who have had domains seized have simply registered new domains, ones that the US government can't get to (whatever.EU for instance). Clearly this is a good use of taxpayer money! Oh well. "During the latest round of seizures under the 'Operation In Our Sites' flag in February, a total of 10 domain names were targeted, belonging to 6 different sports streaming services. Despite the thousands of dollars in tax payer money that were spend on the enforcement effort, all of the sites were back up in no time under new domains." Source: torrentfreak |
