OCZ unveiled plans for a few new SSD products recently at CeBIT, the highlights are as follows!
The Vertex4 is the most normal of the drives, the next in the Vertex series that included the Vertex 3 240GB MaxIOPS that we reviewed.
Heading into the more interesting there is a DRAM based SSD, something the world hasn't seen for a while!
That is a lot of IOPS and insanely low latency. Maximum size of 64GB isn't especially large, but it isn't exactly small either when you consider the speed. Did I mention speed? I don't think anything is going to beat this next platform...
2.5 million IOPS! My thoughts on the matter are rated too high to write. The first drive using this platform will likely be the Z-Drive R5:
If you're more interested in what you can buy now, the Z-Drive R4 is for you! It's not the cheapest drive around, but the combination of speed and size is really something.
