Samsung Roller coaster Year

Samsung Bounce Back After Note 7 Disaster

After the note 7 ‘exploded’ onto the scene in late August and early September, Samsung were left pulling shrapnel from it’s cooperate body, it was a disaster for the company financially and in loss of consumer confidence.

In true determination they have bounced back with a number of different and I think some of the best products I’ve recently read about, for example the release of it’s Quantum Dot Curved Gaming Monitor, a fantastic bit of kit which utilises a technology called Quantum Dots which are currently used in medicine give doctors a tool which can be engineered to bond with a specific cell type so that tumour’s can be discovered and located quickly.

A Quantum Dot is about 10 thousand times smaller than a human hair and reflect different colours dependant on size when they are exposed to a light source, I don’t paint as well an informed picture as a scientist by the name of Nano Girl aka Dr Michelle Dickinson of the University of Auckland

Her interview with a New Zealand radio team (http://www.radiolive.co.nz) was an informative listen, Dr Dickinson goes on to say that this technology is much more efficient and uses less power, it has future applications within the mobile device industry which gives Samsung a clear edge over the competition as they will have a greater hands on experience with he technology and you can bet their R&D teams are already working to incorporate this into it’s mobile division.

The picture below contains a link to the article and the interview.

Which brings us to the teaser from Samsung themselves around some features to look out for in flagship Galaxy S8.

I have read recently on Flipboard about the A.I which google have integrated into the their newly released Pixel and it has had some outstanding reviews with responsiveness and one answer search results which you don’t usually get with other A.I, but Samsung has pledged a next level A.I with the S8 but they didn’t go into much depth around it but kind of gives the impression that it will rock your world.

It makes me wonder weather or not they have put their heads together with Google who knows, but i will be keeping a close eye out for more details surrounding it.

(PIC above is fan made and rumoured only).

The other thing they are hyping is significant improvement in the camera technology which could see duel lenses built into the design, they obviously don’t want to give away to much information about the new device so we will have to wait until launch date which is TBC 2017.

It has been a tough year for Samsung, but you have to respect the way in which they have brushed themselves off and continued to build on and restore at least some consumer confidence, and are still on the forefront of changing tech which could see them take the top spot in the mobile industry again in the very near future.
