It’s been a tough year in 2021, especially with the lockdowns, travel restrictions and pandemic still ravaging many countries. Still, we will leave 2021 behind on a high note, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our Funky Kit Team.
Before we continue, we would like to say a BIG thank you to all our followers, visitors, viewers, fans, subscribers and contributors for your continued support. It is YOU that make it possible for us to grow and develop Funky Kit to what it is today (and the coming future).
The media business is TOUGH, and as you know several big hardware review sites have shut down over the past few years. Running the whole operation, and most importantly maintaining a website is not easy. It can be quite challenging, especially when you’ve been doing it for more than 20 years! I, myself have been personally paying for, and funding the whole operation which includes …
- Hosting the site on AWS servers (not cheap!) + monthly fees + maintenance fees
- Equipment for video production for all the videos uploaded on our YouTube channel
- Twitch Channel for our LIVE show – Internet service and equipment costs
- Travel expenses to cover exhibitions, expos and trade shows
Yes, let me emphasize this again … ALL the above costs are paid for, and funded by myself personally. It is a heavy toll and quite a financial burden on me. If you would like to help us and donate, you can do so here.
I do everything at Funky Kit out of love and passion. I love technology and I love the community that drives it. It is NOT profit driven and any proceeds, donations or funds are used to pay for the running costs of Funky Kit.
With 2021 over and done with, we now look forward to 2022 and I have a feeling it’s going to be a great year! Hopefully if everything goes as planned, we’ll be bringing you more content, videos, prize giveaways, PC build projects, and of course continue with our popular Funky Kit Show LIVE.
