Beyerdynamic Launches 2nd Gen XELENTO In-Ear Headphones

The 2nd generation of beyerdynamic’s audiophile XELENTO in-ear headphones are true gems. They unite the traditional manufacturer’s world-renowned expertise, highest acoustic requirements, and genuine craftsmanship. INCOMPARABLE SOUND EXPERIENCE AND NOBLE DESIGN
XELENTO is handcrafted with the highest precision to the highest level of quality directly at the company’s headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany. They offer a first-class high-resolution sound experience and are driven by beyerdynamic’s own Tesla technology in its smallest form factor to date: The TESLA.11 driver ensures an exceptional level of detail, unparalleled spatiality, and depth of sound that will delight music lovers.

The eleven-millimetre, dynamic, one-way driver combines beyerdynamic’s acoustic expertise, engineering, and craftsmanship into a brilliant technical masterpiece. The audio experts from Heilbronn have uniquely succeeded in integrating the highest performance and sound quality into a graceful in-ear design. A special new acoustic filter provides even more fine detail and lightness in the high-frequency range. Paired with perfectly matched mids, highs and bass, the sound quality is raised to a new level.

In addition, both XELENTO remote and XELENTO wireless (2nd generation) are certified Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless headphones, providing the best audio resolution even on mobile playback devices such as compatible smartphones. For the wireless version, the proprietary MIY app with MOSAYC – Attention to Detail with Mimi Sound Personalization enables sound personalisation and further customisation for individual preferences. Over-the-air updates keep the headphones always up to date with the latest technology.

The craftsmanship that went into the production of these sound jewels is reflected in the sophisticated design and best choice of materials. For an outstanding sound experience, only gold-plated plugs and silver-plated cables are used. In accordance with this audio-technical aspiration, the shiny front of the housing is decorated with real gold – handmade from 24 carat gold and applied in a high-precision technical process.

The headphones provide best ergonomic design and thus convince with a natural and high wearing comfort for unforgettable sound moments. The seven pairs of silicone ear tips are newly developed by beyerdynamic and perfectly match individual fit with highest acoustic performance. There is also a set of Comply™ Memory Foam ear tips in three sizes for high sound isolation. In addition, the cable routing behind the ear ensures the best wearing comfort.

MOBILITY AND FLEXIBILITY REDEFINED
Both variants of the new XELENTO come with a 3.5 mm jack cable with remote control and hands-free microphone. This allows users to engage in calls or video conferences or to use voice assistant flexibly via smartphone and laptop while on the go.

XELENTO remote also features a symmetric 4.4 mm Pentaconn cable that allows a direct connection to high-quality hi-fi components with balanced outputs. This makes XELENTO remote the ideal choice for enjoying music on Digital Audio Players and balanced hi-fi systems.

XELENTO wireless, on the other hand, has a high-quality Bluetooth® 5.2 neckband that guarantees up to 14 hours of music entertainment. Thanks to the additional Enhancement Mode, nothing stands in the way of wireless hi-fi enjoyment. This is made possible by an added digital-to-analogue converter and amplifier from specialist AKM. Last but not least, the latest codecs such as LHDC, Qualcomm® aptX™ HD and aptX™ Adaptive ensure that high-resolution audio quality is also possible wirelessly – whether on Android, iOS, Windows, or Mac.

Both headphones are flexibly adaptable to users’ own needs due to a MMCX plug-in system. XELENTO remote also transforms easily into the wireless version with the separately available wireless neckband. In turn, the Pentaconn cable is also additionally available to connect XELENTO wireless by cable to high-quality hi-fi systems.

AVAILABILITY AND PRICE
The beyerdynamic XELENTO remote and wireless will be available from October 13 for a recommended retail price of EUR 999 (remote incl. VAT) and EUR 1,199 (wireless incl. VAT) in the beyerdynamic online shop and in the beyerdynamic brand store on Amazon. Additional accessories such as the Pentaconn cable or the Bluetooth® neckband as well as spare parts can be reordered as usual in the near future.
