HP may be slowing down their PC’s without users knowing.

If you ever needed more proof why building your own PC is always better this may be it.

HP just got caught installing software on users computers that has caused massive performance drops, the program called “HP Touchpoint Analytics Service” began showing up on users PC’s around mid November without warning and from their many users complained that their HP computers drastically slowed down.

Many users report the program starting and stopping other programs under Windows task manager and every time it did their PC would slow down.

So far HP hasn’t made an official comment but it’s safe to say you should just perform a fresh install of Windows before using any pre-built PC’s.
