BIOSTAR Launches the Newest AMD Radeon RX5700XT and RX5700 Graphics Cards

BIOSTAR, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and storage devices, welcomes the arrival of PCI Express 4.0 with the AMD Radeon RX5700-series of graphics cards, the world’s first graphics cards to support the 4th generation PCI Express interface. BIOSTAR is proudly launching its first Radeon RX5700-series cards, namely the Radeon RX5700XT and Radeon RX5700. Beyond gaining twice the PCI-E bandwidth compared to previous generations of graphics cards, the Radeon RX5700-series also features the first mass market 7nm GPU. It’s also AMD’s first GPU based on their brand new RDNA architecture. Another first is support for GDDR6 memory, which offers twice the peak bandwidth compared to GDDR5.

AMD’s RDNA architecture is a completely new GPU design that brings a wide range of new features to the Radeon RX5700-series, such as a streamlined graphics pipeline, a brand new compute unit design and a multilevel cache hierarchy. Together, things bring a 50% performance per Watt advantage over AMD’s previous GCN architecture.

Upgrade to 1440p
The use of GDDR6 provides bandwidth of up to up to 448 GB/s to enable 1440p and BIOSTAR’s Radeon RX5700 cards are the perfect graphics cards for the step up from 1080p. Combined with AMD’s FreeSync technology, you’ll get an unbeatable gaming experience at 1440p compared to previous generations of graphics cards.

Response time Improvement of over 30%
Together with the Radeon RX5700-series, AMD has also launched a wide range of new software features to help improve the gaming experience. Key amongst those is AMD Radeon Anti-lag which improves the input to display response time, which is especially key in FPS type games and can be crucial during competitive gaming. With Radeon Anti-lag enabled, the response time improvement in many games improve by over 30%, which can mean the difference between beating the competition, or being beaten.

8K HDR Ready
BIOSTAR’s Radeon RX5700-series graphics cards feature three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.0b display output with HDR support. Courtesy of Display Stream Compression 1.2a, the Radeon RX5700-series is 8K HDR ready and also supports 4K HDR displays up to 120Hz. The Radeon Media Engine supports up to H.264 8K30 video decoding, as well as H.265 and VP9 4K60 decoding. Streamers can look forward to 4K90 video encoding for both H.264 and H.265.

Vapor Chamber Cooling with Graphite Based TIM
With three different clocks, base, game and boost, a great cooling solution is needed and the Radeon RX5700-series features vapor chamber cooling with a graphite based TIM applied to the cooler. At the same time, the Radeon RX5700-series is whisper quiet when the GPU isn’t under load, with a 0dBA mode. The Radeon RX5700 XT also brings an aluminum alloy shroud and backplate for that extra bling factor.

BIOSTAR’s latest Radeon RX5700XT and Radeon RX5700 are built from the new RDNA architecture and pack the latest technologies such as 7nm process, first ever PCI-E 4.0 interface, GDDR6 and improved scaling and process with Radeon Image Sharpening and FidelityFX for gamers to enjoy 1440p gaming experience. Gaming has definitely reached a new level.
