Our good friends over at HardOCP has posted a review on the MSI Z87 MPower LGA 1150 Motherboard. The specs are very impressive and so is the performance, however the onboard drivers and software are a little pants.
“The “M” series motherboards from MSI have gained a lot of recognition recently being an upper quality not-so-high-priced motherboard for the computer hardware enthusiast. However while MSI brings us some of the best hardware you’ll find on the current market seemingly goes a bit off course with firmware and software.
For me the MSI Z87 MPower motherboard is a fantastic piece of hardware that’s held back by terrible software. There is no other way to put it. When I popped the driver disc in and started going through everything I wondered if MSI had bothered to test it at all. Of course the drivers and the disc will be discarded by many enthusiasts and that makes sense.”
