Seasonic PRIME 750W Gold Power Supply Reviewed at HardOCP

Our good friends over at HardOCP has posted a review on the Seasonic PRIME 750W Gold Power Supply. Head over there to check out their verdict.

Seasonic has been on point with its PRIME power supplies lately on the Titanium and Platinum spectrum. Funny that a “Gold” efficiency PSU from Seasonic seems like a “low end” product, but rest assured, it seems that Seasonic is incapable of producing anything that is low-end now days. Is its new 750 watt PRIME Gold, [H] Gold?

All in all, this unit was more than competitive with previous PRIME offerings and offerings from other vendors. Sure, it wasn’t the leader of the pack in every test category but the margins by which it wasn’t were typically so small that they are not going to be of real concern to users. That would, therefore, put this unit into a very interesting position of being 99% of those higher end units at potentially a lower price point ($113.71 at B&H Photo). So, for users who don’t need those last few incremental increases in performance that you see from the PRIME 750W or PRIME Ultra 750W then the excellent PRIME 750W Gold we have here today represents an outstanding option that gets you everything you actually need at a price that is easier to swallow.
