PlayStation Plus Increased Prices

Sony has sent out emails to their members in Europe, notifying them that a price increase will take place as of August 31st.

The increase is quite substantial as well with prices going from €49.99 to €59.99 for the yearly option, €19.99 to €24.99 for the quarter, and €6.99 to €7.99 for the one month sub.
The strange part about this is the fact that it’s actually more expensive to go with the quarterly option (€8,33/month) than with the monthly (€7,99).

As many of you may remember Sony increased the prices in both the US and in Canada, and so the increase does not come as a shock.

The good news for those of us who subscribe to PS Plus is that you can, up until the price increase, purchase as much subscription time as you’d like and stack it up and in that way “avoid” the increase.
