Asus Blue Cave AC2600 Dual Band WiFi Router Review

Box and Packaging

Inside the box, you get the power adapter, 1 x LAN cable, instruction manual, warranty information and the Asus Blue Cave router itself.

A Closer Look

I love the look and design of the Asus Blue Cave router. It’s pretty compact and measures 160 x 160 x 80mm. It doesn’t have loads of antennas protruding out, which makes it ideal for your living room or your bedroom. You don’t have to hide your router anyone 😛

Installation

At the rear of the unit, there’s the power on/off button, AC power-in, reset button, USB 3.0 port, 4 x Gigabit LAN ports, 1 x WAN port and the WPS button. You seriously can’t go wrong with installation. It’s really that simple. Just connect the LAN cable from your PC to one of the gigabit LAN ports, then plug another LAN cable from the modem to the WAN port, and finally the power cable, and that’s it!

Setup and Configuration

The setup page is super easy to use. I was up-and-running within 5 minutes. Just type “router.asus.com” in to the browser URL search bar and away you go. The router supports 3 main modes … You can set it up as a wireless router, an access point or as media bridge.

There are tons of options available in the admin console page. You can setup your Security, Parental Control, VPN, QoS, Traffic analyzer, Apps, AiDisk guest network and much, much more.
