VisionTek 3 Meter Speed HDMI to HDMI Pivot Cable Review

Today I will be reviewing the VisionTek 3 Meter High Speed HDMI to HDMI Pivot Cable. In today’s technological world, High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cables are a much needed accessory for all your electronic needs such as, any HDTV, video game consoles, Blu-ray players, cable and satellite receivers, or even with things like printers. The need to move to HDMI is necessary because it is the standard interface for high-definition today. HDMI cables are capable of transferring high quality video as well as audio over the same cable, which reduces clutter and ensures that you will be getting the full use of you device.

The VisionTek 3 Meter 4K UHD High Speed HDMI to HDMI Pivot Cable is the high-performance cable you need to provide a direct link between HDMI- enabled devices such as DVD/Blu-ray players, HDTVs, stereo receivers and cable/satellite boxes. The main feature of the VisionTek HDMI cable is the ability to rotate and pivot 180 degrees for easy hook-up. I do not know about you, but I tend to get very frustrated when trying to hook-up an HDMI cable to a wall mounted TV. It seems as though most HDMI cables are made with a thick stiff cable and straight flat connectors which makes hooking up your devices in limited space difficult. I am very interested in seeing if the pivotal design solves this problem.

I would like to thank VisionTek for providing this review sample! Let us see what they have to say about themselves on their website:

VisionTek Company History

The Early Years

VisionTek was founded in 1988.  Originally based out of Gurnee, Illinois, the company developed, manufactured, and supported a broad line of peripheral and memory products for computers. VisionTek designed products in the Gurnee engineering offices throughout the 90’s. The first 10 years in business, VisionTek grew to company of over 500 employees with a world-wide revenues exceeding $300 million in annual sales.

By 1999, the product line had grown to include over 3,000 PC upgrade products, including a full line of proprietary memory modules for IBM, Compaq, Gateway, Apple, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, and many more Fortune 1000 companies.

Turn of the Century

In early 2002, VisionTek, like America, fell on hard times in the wake of 9/11. The U.S. manufacturing lines were forced to shut down only nine months after the attack on America. An effort to move to off-shore production was aborted, and the nVidia partnership dissolved.

In an effort to rebuild and reinvent the brand, VisionTek was acquired by Hartford Computer Group, Inc. in December 2002. This was furthered by partnering with an emerging leader in technology, a company named ATI. Based in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Hartford remained committed to VisionTek’s intention of offering the most innovative and best-performing products to PC enthusiasts.

Rising Again

By the end of 2005, VisionTek Products formally spun off from Hartford Computer Group, forming a stand-alone company once again. VisionTek items could be found all across North America at major electronics retailers like Best Buy, Circuit City, COMP USA, Fry’s Electronics, Micro Center and Wal-Mart, along with numerous online retailers.

In 2010, VisionTek built new corporate offices and warehouse facilities in East Dundee, Illinois, where the company continues to grow and innovate. Today, VisionTek is still one of the most recognized brands in the computing industry, and is partnered with AMD for the majority of the product portfolio.

VisionTek Now

Currently, VisionTek is focused on expansion of new products to diversify, compliment, and balance our core AMD product lines. VisionTek continues to offer state-of-the-art, graphics cards, memory, solid state drives, power supplies, candyboards, gaming network cards, TV tuners, and more to the computing industry, with branded products still found at major retailers, distributors, PC system builders, and e-commerce sites across North America.

Now lets see what this HDMI cable is all about!
