VIOTEK GNV32DBE 32″ WQHD Curved Gaming Monitor Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Well, we have made it to the end of this review. Let’s cover a few final thoughts and wrap this coverage up. This monitor has some decent specifications. Of those we get an awesome 31.5″ screen size, 1500R curved screen, and over 100% sRGB coverage. The E-LED I mentioned earlier. This is Edge lit. No this may have been some concern before, but it was honestly not even noticeable. On some edge lit screen, you may notice a lot of light bleeding around the edges during dark scenes. Not here, this was pretty uniform all the way across. The curvature was nice even if it wasn’t a wide screen. The curve just makes it a more immersive experience. And like every other VIOTEK I have had in the past, the pixels were perfect. I didn’t even find one flaw with this screen. Great color reproduction, high refresh rate, and large size make this an awesome gaming monitor. There are no RGB but there are some nice red accents on the back of the panel.

VA panels have come along way. They are now in line with IPS panels in terms of performance. This monitor has a 5ms response rate and better input lag than in the past. The VA panel is a gamers choice for sure. They offer a deep contrast and make games really pop off the screen. IPS still reigns in color accuracy though and response. I have been a user of a VA panel for some time even when the best they could do was a 5ms response. I am not entering competitions and rarely noticed the lag so having to sacrifice that for great color and contrast seemed like a great trade off. We are starting to see 1ms response on VA panels, but that greatly increases the cost. Trust me when I say unless you are a pro gamer you won’t even notice. These are great specs and will provide you with enough refresh and response rate. The screen was flawless. The brightness and results from the testing showed us that. It was right there at the manufactures reported specifications.

There are no speakers on this model which isn’t a deal breaker because most of the time, internal speakers are not intended to be used for much, if at all. But it nice to know you have them if you needed them. The last thing I would have like to see is a height adjustment. You can adjust the tilt but not the height.

It was easy to put the stand on and it was up and running in the matter of minutes. I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of the stand. The design was simple yet sturdy. It also helped in the overall weight of the monitor. All said and done this monitor wasn’t horrible to move around after it was all put together.
